View and control a remote desktop
Connect to a screen, work in applications and finish the session with a clear handover.

Open a device desktop
Find the online target in Devices. Check its name and system, open the details, then choose Remote desktop and Connect desktop. Wait for the screen before sending input instead of repeatedly clicking while the connection state is unclear.
Restore connectivity first if the device is offline. If no desktop tool is available, check your member permissions and whether the device supports desktop access.
Viewing and control are separate
Desktop view grants screen access. Desktop control grants mouse and keyboard input. Your membership, device-group grants and the target operating system's permissions all affect what you can do.
Read the current window before clicking. Focus the remote screen before typing. Some shortcuts may be handled by your local system or browser; an intercepted shortcut does not necessarily indicate a remote application problem.
Choose a display and image quality
On a device with multiple displays, use the display selector to confirm the screen you want. On a slower network, lower image quality using the available setting, then check whether screen updates and input become responsive.
Clipboard read and write have separate permissions. If copy and paste is unavailable, check those permissions and browser prompts. Use the file tool to transfer files.
End a session and hand over
Disconnect explicitly when you finish. If AI will continue, stop manual input first and describe the device, current state and goal in Chat.
To take over from AI, use the task's pause or stop control and wait for its status to update before opening the desktop. Avoid input from two controllers at once. For a black screen, delays or input failures, see Troubleshooting.
Include the issue and the steps you took so it is easier to investigate.
