Account installation: Linux CLI

In Downloads, choose “Install with an account” and Linux to obtain a published command-line client without signing in to the website. Follow its CLI instructions to sign in and access authorized devices. This is not a desktop GUI. For a Linux or BSD remote target, use the no-account flow below.

No-account installation: obtain it in the workspace

The target device does not sign in to an account. A workspace owner or admin opens No-account installation, selects a group, and obtains its installation content. The following sections describe this existing group-based flow.

Get the current group's command

Open No-account installation in Devices, select the group and choose Linux / BSD. Wait for the installation command to load, then copy it. It includes connection information for the selected group, so use the complete command from the current page.

If installation information is unavailable, resolve that error first. Do not reuse an old command from another workspace or treat an installation command as an AI controller key.

Run it on the target

1. Open a terminal on the target device and check the system and your administrative access.
2. Read the generated command and confirm the source and destination group.
3. Paste and run it on the target, following any authorization prompts.
4. Wait for completion and check for download, architecture or service-installation errors.

On BSD, prepare wget, sudo and bash using the system's package manager. For a manual binary selection, use the Binaries category, choose the matching operating system and architecture, and follow the page instructions.

Verify connection and tools

Return to the workspace and confirm the device is online with the expected system information. Open its details, then test the terminal or file tool.

Remote desktop availability on Linux / BSD depends on the agent, graphical environment and current session. A server without a graphical desktop can still provide supported terminal and file capabilities. A missing screen alone does not mean installation failed.

Installation problems and removal

For download failures, check whether the target can reach the service address in the command. For an architecture mismatch, choose the correct binary. For permission errors, ask the system administrator to check execution and service-installation rights.

To uninstall, select the Linux / BSD uninstall category in No-account installation and run its generated command on the target. Check both the workspace online status and the local service afterward. See Troubleshooting for other issues.
