Account installation: the unified client

In Downloads, choose “Install with an account” and your system. Download a published unified client without signing in to the website. Match the listed architecture and minimum OS version to your device.

After installation, sign in inside the client and select a workspace to access authorized devices. Signing in registers this device without automatically enabling remote access. To allow access to this device, enable it in settings, confirm its group, and complete system authorization. You do not need a second client.

No-account installation: obtain it in the workspace

The target device does not sign in to an account. A workspace owner or admin opens No-account installation, selects a group, and obtains its installation content. The following sections describe this existing group-based flow.

Download the matching package

In Devices, open No-account installation, select a group and choose macOS. Pick Apple Silicon, Intel or the universal package for the target Mac. Download an available package, extract it on the target and follow its included instructions.

If a download is unavailable, record the message and contact your workspace administrator. Do not substitute an unknown installer or bypass system source checks.

Allow screen access

On the target Mac, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow the installed device agent under the screen recording permissions. The name varies by macOS version, including Screen Recording and Screen & System Audio Recording. Restart the relevant program if prompted, then reconnect.

This permission controls screen access; its system label does not imply the product supports audio streaming. See Apple's screen recording permission guide.

Allow mouse and keyboard control

Under Privacy & Security → Accessibility, allow the installed device agent. The person at the target Mac must grant access through the system prompt. Workspace desktop-control permission does not replace this local authorization. See Apple's accessibility permission guide.

If you can see the screen but cannot interact, check both workspace desktop-control access and local Accessibility permission. Grant only what the task needs; investigate directory-specific file access separately if a file operation is blocked.

Verify and reconnect

Return to Devices and confirm the Mac is online. Open its desktop and check both screen and input. After a system permission change, restart the agent as prompted and reconnect instead of judging the result from an old session.

An operating system upgrade or agent replacement may require checking permissions again. If the screen is still black, confirm a usable graphical session exists on the target and follow Troubleshooting.
