Go from a workspace to a working remote screen. Everyday use starts with your account, without an API key.

Prepare both ends

You need a computer to work from and a target device to connect to. For the first installation, make sure you can run the installer and respond to system permission prompts on the target. Both ends need a network connection.

Enable remote access in the unified client on the target device, or connect it using a no-account Agent. On the computer you work from, a browser is enough to get started.

Open your workspace

  1. Create an account or sign in, then open your workspace.
  2. Create a workspace in the workspace switcher, or select one you already belong to.
  3. Open Devices. Create a device group, such as “My computers”, if this is your first device. Groups help organize access later.

If someone invited you, accept their invitation before selecting the workspace. Ask its owner or an administrator to help if you do not have access to the add-device controls.

Choose an installation method

Account installation: download the unified client publicly from Downloads, then sign in inside the app and choose a workspace. On Windows/macOS, one client accesses other devices and lets you enable remote access to this device in settings. You do not choose separate controller and full installers. Signing in only registers the client; enabling remote access also requires group selection and system authorization. See Downloads for other platforms' capabilities.

No-account installation: the target device does not sign in. A workspace owner or admin opens “No-account installation” on the Devices page, selects a group and system, and obtains its installer, command, or QR code. This preserves the existing group-bound installation flow for servers and managed deployments.

After configuring remote access, return to Devices and check that the target is online with the correct name and system. “Client registered” alone does not mean remote access is enabled.

Make your first connection

  1. Open the online device and select Remote desktop.
  2. Choose Connect desktop and wait for its current screen.
  3. Use the mouse and keyboard if you have control permission. View permission alone lets you observe.
  4. Try one simple action, such as opening an existing application, to check that you are operating the intended device.
  5. Disconnect when you finish.

Success looks like: an online device, a visible screen and working authorized input. For an offline device, black screen or input issue, follow Troubleshooting.
